Water Colouring!!!

Hello Friends,

I am back again with a card!!! This time I tried water colouring using my Faber Castell water colour pencils.

I made this card to link to Case this Sketch #136. But my bad I stamped the sentiment on the bottom and I don't think this can be linked to that challenge anymore :(

I have masked and distressed using mustard seed DI on top portion of the white card stock and coloured all the flowers using FB colour pencils. Stamped Bo Bunny's sentiment twice to include some shading effect but it was not shown properly in the photo because of lens that I used while taking snaps :( .

The big flower image is a free digi from digichick and small flowers are free digi offered by Paper Smooches.

Gatefold Mini Album

Hello Friends,

I am back with a gate fold mini album. I followed a tutorial I have seen in pinterest. This was made on a request as a gift for a baby boy's first birthday.

Let's look at the album

Letter 'D' is a foam sticker that was sent by Itsybitsy when I shopped for quilling supplies from their online store and the wooden peg with a baby boy is bought in a craft store.

This is how it is when opened
It has 3 pockets each side and can fit 18 pages totally. And on the flaps there are some tags that can be used for journaling by parents and a waterfall folio to write wishes from friends/relatives.

In this album I used stickers and embellishments from Joy crafts which are candy that I won. Thanks Joy Crafts!!! They are lovely.

Some more pictures and a video of the album

Yayy...Mixed Media..

Hello Friends,

I am back again to show my new addiction Mixed Media..

I have recycled packaging material that I got when I bought a wallclock from IKEA.

Here are the before and after peeps.

Before
After

Here are the steps that I followed  :
1. First I gessoed the whole packaging and adhered the letters( cardboard ), flower punchouts and leaves using liquid glue.
2. I applied homemade texture paste using handmade stencil( flower punches and leaves) and allowed it to dry.
3. Now it's time for coluring..I have used Black,Red,Green and Yellow acrylic colours. Applied them randomly and blended them with my hand.
4. Stamped butterflies, sentiment ,a hanging monkey that you can see next to the photo and also bubble wrap for more texture.
5. Embellished it with handmade flowers , wood embellishment(car and a heart) ,washi tape and some cute little elephants which are from my stash.
6. Highlighted the textured flowers( The stencilling was a little bad because of the paper that I used to make handmade stencil) and letters using gel pens.
7. Fussy cut my son's photo and adhered it in middle to enclose the circle and it is ready to go on my office desk

Some more closer clicks:

I am very happy with the outcome as this is the first time trying in various techniques and will be happy if you can provide me your feedback/comment for improvement.

Maze album

Hello,

I am back with a super easy mini album inspired from clubscrap june technique challenge. But I have modified the measurements to suit my imagination. It was a birthday gift to a beautiful baby on her first birthday.

Here are the pictures of the mini album and I will be posting a video along with a giveaway.

Front cover of the album is decorated with handmade rose flowers which were punched and coloured using distress inks.Prima doll stamped and coloured coloured using Faber castell water colour pencils. I have done a box matching with album and decorated it with washi tape.

This album measure 4 by 6 inches and space for 16 4R photos and 4 3 by 3 photos and some tags for journaling.

I have also added some flaps and waterfall on front page to include more photos or for some journaling for the baby's parents.

Here are the inside pages of the album.

I am in love with these albums and I am going to make some more of this kind.
