Hello Friends,
I am back again to show my new addiction Mixed Media..
I have recycled packaging material that I got when I bought a wallclock from IKEA.
Here are the before and after peeps.
Here are the steps that I followed :
1. First I gessoed the whole packaging and adhered the letters( cardboard ), flower punchouts and leaves using liquid glue.
2. I applied homemade texture paste using handmade stencil( flower punches and leaves) and allowed it to dry.
3. Now it's time for coluring..I have used Black,Red,Green and Yellow acrylic colours. Applied them randomly and blended them with my hand.
4. Stamped butterflies, sentiment ,a hanging monkey that you can see next to the photo and also bubble wrap for more texture.
5. Embellished it with handmade flowers , wood embellishment(car and a heart) ,washi tape and some cute little elephants which are from my stash.
6. Highlighted the textured flowers( The stencilling was a little bad because of the paper that I used to make handmade stencil) and letters using gel pens.
7. Fussy cut my son's photo and adhered it in middle to enclose the circle and it is ready to go on my office desk
Some more closer clicks:
I am very happy with the outcome as this is the first time trying in various techniques and will be happy if you can provide me your feedback/comment for improvement.
